We’re looking for a driven and experienced Advisor Communications and Engagement to join our team in beautiful Upper Hutt. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, you’ll helping us boost our communications so our stakeholders are well informed about Council’s projects, stories and performance.
We’re focused on enhancing engagement with the community so that it is open and ongoing. You’d help with regular communications across all our channels, support publications like Local Kōrero and deliver actions in communications plans for our projects.
You’ll be working alongside other communications and marketing team members, meaning there is great opportunity for collaboration, learning new things and having fun while we tell Council’s story.
We’re looking for:
- Previous experience in communications and engagement delivery
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Sound knowledge of communications and engagement tools, techniques and channels
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team and assist with a wide range of projects
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Skills in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign) are preferrable
- Local Government experience is an advantage.
