Integrated Transport Strategy
- Project typeInfrastructure
We’re developing a transport strategy that will integrate the movement of people, services, and freight across all transport modes in the city.
It’s called the Integrated Transport Strategy and it sets out how we will deliver a transport system that will best support Upper Hutt and its people over the next 30 years.
The first step is to identify and engage with key stakeholder groups in Upper Hutt to help inform our strategy development.
These include organisations like Trentham United Harriers & Walkers, Metlink, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce.
When the draft strategy has been developed, we’ll share it with our community for feedback. This is planned for May 2023.
Transport affects everyone and we’re committed to developing (with your input) an integrated transport network across the city, which balances the transport needs of our community.
Once finalised, the strategy will be implemented through the 2024-2034 Long Term Plan.
