Trentham Memorial Park
A short bike, bus, train, or drive from the CBD, Trentham Memorial Park is one of Upper Hutt's premier parks.
Catering to all ages, Trentham Memorial Park is home to sportsfields, community events, Barton and Domain Bushes, community sport club rooms, an exciting playground, space to picnic, and room to play. It's the perfect destination for a fun family day out!
The playground caters to children of all ages with a large play area full of both traditional and adventure items including two large forts, a 4.5 metre-high mega-swing, double-basket swing, skysurf, rodeo board, and more.
Trentham Memorial Park has several bush walks through Barton and Domain Bushes. Most of these walkways are flat except for one steep section near the tree tunnel. They are suitable for most push chairs.
Trentham Memorial Park is home to an athletics field, six cricket pitches, and a summer football league area in summer. In winter it hosts seven football fields and eleven junior and senior rugby fields all of which can be booked on request. Equestrian events can be hosted on request when ground conditions are suitable.
ATV's, dirt bikes, motorbikes and other motorised vehicles are not permitted in the park.
Toilets are located next to the cricket club (by Barton Cricket Oval) and on the other side of Barton Bush, they are open from dusk until dawn daily.
