Wellington Regional Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2017-2023

All eight of the Councils across the Wellington region have worked together to produce the Wellington Region Waste Management and Minimisation Plan. 

The plan sets out what we intend to do over the next 10 years to make sure we manage our waste as best we can, for the benefit of our communities, our local economies, and the environment.

NOTE: Upper Hutt City Council has now adopted a new Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw 2020 to help manage and reduce waste going to landfill. For a copy of this bylaw, visit our Bylaws page.
