Visit Akatārawa Cemetery

Akatārawa Cemetery is located just north of Upper Hutt City in the beautiful bush clad Akatārawa Valley providing a tranquil setting to commemorate the passing of a loved one.

Gates open daily from 8am to 6pm.

(8pm during daylight saving)

Funeral hours

Monday - Friday

8am - 5pm

Saturday

8am - 1pm

No services held on public holidays.

1058 Akatārawa Road, Akatārawa, Upper Hutt (Off Fairview Drive).

Toilets

Toilets are located behind the Sexton's office at the far end of the cemetery toward the exit.

Free bus service for Upper Hutt Residents

On the last Tuesday of the month, a free door-to-door bus service is available to Upper Hutt Residents, taking them to and from the cemetery. Call (04) 566 3103 to book.
