The Civic Centre has closed to the public for essential seismic strengthening and all Council customer services are based at the newly-refurbished HAPAI building located across the road at 879-881 Fergusson Drive.
The HAPAI Puna Ratonga - Service Centre was blessed by Kura Moeahu and Alishia Moeahu, representatives from Te Runanganui o Te Ati Awa on Wednesday 10 August and is open to the public from 8.00 am on 15 August 2022.
Services at the HAPAI Service Centre include:
Payment for things like rates and dog registration
Parking fines
Regulatory things like health licenses and building consents
Self-service kiosks to view property records and rates information
There is parking out the front, in the surrounding streets, or across the road at the train station and library.
Council and committee meetings will be held in the Rotary Lounge at Upper Hutt Central Library (844 Fergusson Drive). The meeting schedule is available online at upperhuttcity.com/meetings.
There is no change to our phone number, you can still call us on (04) 527 2169.
All other Council staff will be working remotely until the strengthening work is complete. We expect the work to take about eight months.
