There is one confirmed COVID-19 case in the Hutt Valley and while the case is currently self-isolating with close family contacts, they did visit several locations across the valley.

Given this and the high transmission rate of the Delta strain, we have made the decision to change the settings at our public facilities, moving to more restrictive settings.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?

Upper Hutt Libraries, H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre and Council’s Civic Centre will close to members of the public at 5pm on 23 December to prepare for this change.

When they reopen, you will require a My Vaccine Pass (or have a valid exemption) to access and use the facilities.

Our public facilities will reopen at different times after Christmas, for the holiday period:

  • H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre – 26 December
  • Upper Hutt Library - 29 December
  • Pinehaven Library - 5 January
  • Council’s Civic Centre - 5 January

WHERE CAN I GET A MY VACCINE PASS?

If you don’t have a vaccine pass yet, follow the instructions to get one at https://covid19.govt.nz/covid-19-vaccines/covid-19-vaccination-certificates/my-vaccine-pass/
