Upper Hutt City Council’s opening hours are changing

Published on 15 April 2021

Nine-o'clock

We’ve recently made the decision to change our opening time on Wednesdays from 8.00 am to 9.00 am. This change in hours will enable opportunities for our front facing team to undertake more frequent training and development which will continue to build on the quality of service the team provides. This is a change to our current arrangement of opening at 9.00am on the first Wednesday of the month. So, from 21 April 2021, Council will open to the public at 9.00 am every Wednesday (except public holidays). All other hours remain the same.

Council’s updated hours are as follows:

  • Monday – Tuesday: 8.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • Wednesday: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • Thursday – Friday: 8.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • Saturday – Sunday: closed
  • Public holidays: closed

Onsite Customer Service staff will also not be attending phone calls until 9.00 am on Wednesdays. Our out-of-hours call centre will take your calls (and messages) during this time.
