On Wednesday everyone (except Auckland) will move to Alert Level 2 (AL2).

This means Council offices and facilities can reopen, and our services can resume their standard operations, with some safety measures in place.

The most important thing for our community to be aware of is the introduction of the new Government requirements, like wearing a face covering when you’re visiting Council, H2O Xtream, our libraries and our recycling station. You must also scan in using your NZ Covid Tracer app, and observe physical distancing.

For places like the pool and libraries, some additional restrictions will be in place, like limiting the number of people inside the facility to 50, to ensure we meet the requirements of AL2.

Our staff will be adjusting to the new requirements too and we thank you in advance for your patience and kindness as we embed the new ways of working.
