Alert level announcement
Published on 27 August 2021
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement at 3pm today, we can confirm that New Zealand will remain at Alert Level 4 until 11:59pm on Tuesday 31 August, then everyone south of Auckland will move to Alert Level 3.
For Council, Alert Level 3 is much the same as Alert Level 4. Our offices and facilities remain closed and some of our services have stopped temporarily or may be operating at a reduced capacity.
For more information on Council services during lockdown, including things like rubbish and recycling, parks and public toilets, noise control, animal services, building and resource consents, go to https://www.upperhuttcity.com/covid-19.
Here you’ll also find information about rates, business support, and recovery funding.
And for a reminder about the requirements of AL3, go to https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/alert-level-3/.
We know the lockdown and changing alert levels can cause uncertainty and can be unsettling. If you need any support, please reach out. Our Customer Services team can take your call remotely or you can send us an email.
