Petanque club – open afternoon

Next date: Sunday, 01 September 2019 | 01:15 PM to 02:15 PM

Petanqu balls

Petanque is a target sport, where participants throw metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a jack, while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground.

Petanque rules are simple, learned within minutes, it is a low tech and inexpensive requiring no major equipment or clothing. It is social, fun and a great challenge. It is possibly the only sport that can be played competitively by any age group from 5 -95 and is suitable for players with a range of abilities; you don't have to be fast, fit or strong.

If you or your friends are interested to have a go, then we would love to see you and introduce you to this wonderful sport.

• Absolutely no experience required

• All equipment supplied; however fully closed in shoes must be worn

• Free coaching/instruction provided by experienced players

• Sessions fully supervised
