The DRIVE Project
Standing at the end of a platform wondering ‘what next?’ is a scary place to be when you have to take that giant leap into the work force from being on a benefit.
‘The DRIVE Project’ looks into your whole situation and will take the stress out of job hunting and turn it into a confidence building success!
Aim
To successfully support and place people into employment by eliminating barriers and guiding them through the process of job seeking.Method
- Focus groups will be held to identify the attitudes, barriers, needs and goals of the individuals.
- One on one session with each individual to complete an action plan to establish job choice, training needs, barriers (if any), childcare (if applicable), budgeting and short term goals.
- CV to be updated
- Work experience to be arranged/Mentoring if self employed
- Address training needs by utilising local providers
- Dress for Success workshop
- IR tax training (if self employed)
- Budget Advice
- Childcare options
- Assistance with job placement
