There are plenty of reasons to get your bicycle dusted off and ride this summer. Get your friends, your kids, your grandma out and enjoy cycling. Try the wonderful tracks in the Hutt Valley including the newly improved Maidstone Downhill Track:
MAIDSTONE MAX DOWNHILL
Seymour Grove, Kingsley Heights, Upper Hutt or Maidstone Park, Park St, Upper Hutt
A 1100m dedicated downhill mountain bike track and a hit with cyclists from all over the region. Designed by local riders the track twists down through a mixture of pine forest and established beech forest.

Bring your friends and family and enjoy an easy flat scenic bike ride down the Hutt River Trail to Hikoikoi Reserve, Petone. Try the 2 & 1/2 hour ride covering 25km from Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt, or the 1 hour 12 km ride starting from Eastern Hutt Road in Stokes Valley.
The ride will be followed by a picnic at Hikoikoi Reserve with live music, giveaways and fun for the whole family. FREE return transport is available for you and your bike from 11am to 1pm.

The Big Coast

The Big Coast is an entry-level, non competitive and family friendly two day mountain bike ride through some of the Wellington Region's finest scenery.
Recall a bygone era on the Rimutaka Rail Trail then camp overnight next to Lake Wairarapa. The second day is a spectacular journey round the South Coast to Eastbourne.
