Upper Hutt Library YouTube Competition
Rules and Guidelines

You must be 13-18 years old to enter.

You must obtain parent or legal guardian permission before entering.

Contest period will begin Monday 11 February 2008 and will end on Tuesday 12 August 2008.

To upload a video you must first create a YouTube™ account at www.youtube.com/signupnext=/my_videos_upload.

After the account has been established you may then upload your video by clicking on the Upload button in the top left side of the webpage. Just follow the steps and prompts.

You can also upload your YouTube™ video entry to the Upper Hutt City Library at

You will also have the opportunity to tag your video. Please use the following tag words: 'upper', 'hutt', 'library', 'competition'.
Each Contest Entry

Your video will be between 1-5 minutes long.

Somewhere in your video you will include the word "library" and "Upper Hutt" (either spoken or written).

Each video will have a scene from inside or outside the Upper Hutt City Library, Pinehaven Library or the Mobile Library.

Your video must be intended for family audience viewing and contain content that, in the discretion of the Upper Hutt Library's Community Librarian, is suitable for all persons aged 13 years and older.
The Prizes
- One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive $500 cash.

Other prizes will be awarded to the next top five ranked videos. Prizes include, but are not limited to: iTunes™ gift vouchers and bookstore gift vouchers.
Awards ceremony will be held at 6.00pm on 28 August 2008 in the Library.
