So who's behind this website? Whats it all about?
The 'Youth' webpages are put together by the Community Services team at Upper Hutt City Council (UHCC).The team here at UHCC does lots of different things like supporting local events, funding projects, advocating on behalf of different groups (like young people), working with others to build partnerships and strengthening the city by working with community groups to respond to needs and issues.

2006 Youth Survey Analysis
UHCC undertook a youth survey in 2006 and received 1,289 responses from young people in Upper Hutt.It has been used to help direct the work that UHCC carries out with young people in Upper Hutt. It is also a community resource.

2007 Youth Survey Analysis
UHCC continued its annual youth survey in 2007, resulting in 1,342 responses from Upper Hutt young people.Continuing on from the previous year, the results will be used to guide future UHCC and community initiatives focused on young people.

Making It Work - Toolkit
Making It Work is a toolkit aimed at employers, helping build knowledge of the benefits of employing young people.It is meant to help bolster youth enthusiasm and participation in the local work force.

2008 Youth Support Hui Report
In June this year, a whopping fifty people came together to talk about local youth issues.These young people and people who work with young people shared their experiences and opinions on topics ranging from access to services, motivation and overcoming challenges.
