Rural Fire

Fire Permits

Permits can be granted for periods of one month to one day, depending on:
 

• weather conditions
• the fire risk, and
• the time of year

Application for a Fire Permit can be arranged by phoning the
Hutt Valley Emergency Management Office on (04) 570-6447.

A Rural Fire Officer will work with you to complete the application form.

Note:
Permits will not be granted if the Fire Season Status is set to 'Prohibited'.
