Waste Management Plan 2004
The Hutt Valley Waste Management Plan (WMP) outlines the high level strategy for the future, by which the Hutt City Council and the Upper Hutt City Council will jointly manage waste.In keeping with Councils Strategic Plan, Council undertakes to provide a cost effective, high quality refuse collection and disposal service that is funded by those who use it. The provision of recycling services is aimed to reduce the volume of Upper Hutt sourced waste being disposed of at the Silverstream Landfill and Council also seeks a litter free environment.
