The Library is currently implementing the A Book in Every Backpack School Membership Programme.  Pinehaven School, Oxford Crescent School, Upper Hutt School, St Joseph's School, Mangaroa School and Birchville School have recently completed the project.

Through the project every student has the opportunity to join the library and receive a special children's library card and library pack.
