How to find a Property

Use Xplorer to find a property by following these steps:

• Launch Xplorer
• Click on the search tab
• Click on 'Find by Address'
• Enter a house number and a street address
• Click on 'Submit'
• Xplorer will zoom to the property and show the details. 

How can I find rates and property information online?

Use Xplorer to find rates and property information by searching for a particular address or by using the Property Identify tool to click on a particular property.

Where are the household drains on my property?

Use Xplorer to find your property then click on the check box next to Property Services in the layers tab.

How can I find a zone within the Proposed District Plan?

Within Xplorer select the Proposed District Plan map type from the drop down box to the right of the Xplorer logo.  Zoom into an area of interest then click on the drop down box that says Select Identify Layer.   Zones from the drop down box and then click on the map.  The zone type for the area will be displayed in the Search tab.

Background on Xplorer

Xplorer is designed for public use, with the focus as a simple but functional application that can be used with various levels of computer literacy.  Xplorer places a special emphasis on the provision of public access to council information for the benefit of the public and especially council ratepayers.

The data that supports Xplorer consists of geographic and related information including aerial photography.  Xplorer provides the ability to view data such as Property or Land Information, Infrastructural Services, and the Proposed District Plan.
