Long Term Plan 2012-2022 (LTP) | Latest developments ...

 
Pre-consultation on the Long Term Plan (LTP) for 2012-22 has now closed with 179 submissions being received.

This plan builds on the strategic visioning work undertaken earlier this year, including the highly regarded public focus group workshops held in April.
 

Background

The strategic visioning work undertaken in early 2011, which included the highly regarded public focus group workshops, resulted in a number of proposed projects for Upper Hutt.  Prior to further development of the Long Term Plan, Council wanted to gain some initial feedback on the key proposed projects.

 

Consequently, a survey form that outlined 22 proposed projects was released for public consultation during October 2011.

Next steps

1. The pre-consultation feedback will be analysed and following a Council workshop in November 2011, work will begin on the full draft Long Term Plan for 2012 to 2022.
2. The full draft LTP will then be presented for public consultation from 9 April to 4 May 2012.

3. Council Meetings to hear public submissions will occur from 23- 25 May 2012.
4. Council proposes to adopt the final LTP on 27 June 2012.
