Services

Requests can be placed on any item (except Bestsellers) whether on loan or available.  A request books the item for you, and you can specify at which location (Central, Pinehaven or the Mobile) you would like to pick the item up.  Anyone with a current library card can make a request.  There is a charge of $1.00 per item for this service if the item is from the Adults collection.  Requests for items from the Childrens or Teens collections are free.

There is no limit to the number of books that you can request.

Requests can be made at any desk at any library, or you can make an online request on our catalogue (you will need your barcode number and PIN/password).  The cost for making a request is $1.00 for each title which is payable when you pick up the request.

You will need:

• Your library card and PIN/password if you are using the catalogue.
• Information like the title and author of the item you wish to reserve 
• To know which branch you want to pick the item up from

You will be contacted by mail or e-mail when the item is ready for you and you then pick it up from the location where you requested to pick the item up from.

We cannot guarantee when the item will be available because we are reliant on the item being returned to the Library.  We do our best to deliver requested items as soon as possible.
