HUTT TELEVISION IS GOING DIGITAL
Changes are occurring to the Hutt television signal and herald an end to the old analogue television signal that New Zealanders have experienced since 1960—the analogue cut-off date is 29 September 2013. Around seven out of ten households in the area have gone digital—if you use Freeview, Sky or Telstraclear services you are already watching digital television. Benefits of the digital signal include crystal-clear picture, more channels, great sound, and an on-screen-TV guide. You don’t need a new television set to watch digital TV—but you will need a set-top box (most new televisions have a UHF one built-in) and UHF aerial, or; a satellite set-top-box and satellite dish, or a cable connection. Community Advisor, Guy Burns is available talk about the changes—and answer questions groups may have. Please contact Guy by phoning 04 4723227, or emailing guy.burns@goingdigital.co.nz.
