In 2006, Eddie Bright left the Academy of Sport - Central region after six years to establish a coaching company, iBikeCoach. More recently, Eddie, along with other family members has expanded the company to include a number of other cycling related activities resulting in the establishment of CycloSport NZ Ltd.
Eddie's sporting career spans a multitude of adventurous and athletic endeavours including a highly successful and decorated career in one of Britain's elite army units. The adventurous lifestyle included leaping out of airplanes, scaling mountains and skiing over wilderness terrain.Eddie's cycling career started at an early age racing on Merseyside before developing into a coaching career. The passion for cycling has remained as strong as ever over the years. Eddie's roles over the recent past include Director of Coaching for Cycling NZ, Applied Services Manager for Sport Science NZ and for six years, Coaching Performance Manager at the Academy of Sport - Central. |

| Representation in Triathlon included three times competitor at the World Triathlon Championships, three time Ironman finisher, place-getter at the Gold Coast Triathlon World Cup and chair of the organising committee at the Wellington World Championships. Eddie has taken national cycling teams to World Championships and World Cups as both coach and manager. In 2007 Eddie was the Junior Women's Road coach to the Junior World Championships in Mexico. Currently, Eddie coaches a number of outstanding junior and senior cyclists and has established a cycling development team [Team CycloSport] to facilitate their success at the highest level. |
