Environmental Health

The Council, through the Environmental Health Division, is responsible for the promotion of public health and safety within the community.  This is achieved by maintaining standards in food premises, investigating circumstances relating to infectious diseases and monitoring of premises storing dangerous goods.

The Division also has responsibility for:

 

• pollution
• noise control
• liquor licensing
• general bylaws enforcement, and
• the removal of abandoned vehicles
