Road closures

Do you have an upcoming event that requires a road closure?

• The event organiser needs to submit a letter outlining the roads they need to close, the reason for the closure and detail of the event being held. The letter should be sent to:

      Andrea Curtis
      Community Services Director
      Upper Hutt City Council
      Private Bag 907
      Upper Hutt 5140

• The event will then be advertised in the Upper Hutt Leader, at the cost of the event organiser, calling for submissions.

• A report and all submission/s will then be sent out to the Road Closure decision body, if they disagree it will be discussed at a City Services meeting or Full Council meeting.

• The closure is then advertised to let the public know the dates and times that the road/s will be closed.

• The event organiser will need a Traffic Management Plan from a council approved STMS delegate.
