SwimStart for Beginners
An Introduction to Learn to Swim for Children aged 5 years and older. Based on Swimming NZ SwimStart Programme for Learners.

Confident Beginner - Able to put head under, but unable to float. |

Floater - Able to float on front and back without assistance. |

Stroker - Able to do arm strokes. but not freestyle breathing. |
January School Holiday Swimming Programmes
We have a Learn to Swim programme running over the school holidays with three levels available.
Level 1
Must be water confident and able to float on front and back. Kick and glide on front and back, travel on front and back.
Level 2
Swim 10m without pause using any stroke. Swim freestyle with breathing and swim backstroke.
Level 3
Swim 25m backstroke and freestyle, half length breastroke. Perform effective butterfly kick. Able to do a crouching dive.
