Public Notices
Recognising Notable Trees
Do you know of a specimen tree that you think would be worthy of protection as one of Upper Hutt’s Notable Trees? Thanks to recent feedback from the community, which voiced concerns that more of Upper Hutt’s trees needed to be protected, the Upper Hutt City Council is reviewing its current tree protection scheme, as outlined in the District Plan.
To help identify which trees are significant to the community and could possibly be added to Upper Hutt’s list of Notable Trees the Upper Hutt City Council are asking for the public to come forward with their opinions and suggestions.
If anyone has any suggestions for a particular specimen tree which could be added to the Notable Tree list they can telephone Amy Bowbyes on 527-2169 or email her at amy.bowbyes@uhcc.govt.nz.
