	1	Get up close and personal with the animal life at Staglands Wildlife Reserve, in the Akatarawa Valley.
	2	Scream your way down the massive slides at H²O Xtream - the most action-packed and thrill-filled pool in Wellington.
	3	Scale the 30m long swinging suspension bridge and take in beautiful views on your way to picnic at Birchville Dam.
	4	Check out the Lord of the Rings Film Locations, starting with the magical Rivendell in Kaitoke Regional Park.
	5	Take in a show and peruse the galleries at Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre.
	6	Walk or mountain bike the Rimutaka Rail Trail at Tunnel Gully (bike hire from The Bike Hutt).
	7	Enjoy a meal at the Silverspoon, Traditional Thai or Bell House restaurants.
	8	Try out one of the stunning golf courses, nestled amongst a beautiful and natural environment.
	9	Enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafés in Upper Hutt’s city centre.
	10	Have a day of family fun in Upper Hutt’s Harcourt Park, enjoying the summer paddling pool, adventure playgrounds or an outdoor concert.
	11	Scale the Canon Point walkway and see if you can spot the Kaikoura mountain range from the summit.
	12	Visit the country and enjoy the views and animals, whilst taking in a meal at the Short Straw Café.
