Tawai Street Park Neighbourhood BBQ - Sunday 25 March, 12-2pm
| Neighbours Day Aotearoa 2012 - come celebrate community with us.
All welcome! Free activities for the kids and NZ Police will be providing a free sausage sizzle. We'll also be unveiling the new climbing tree and footpath in Tawai Street park (a community fundraised project) which Trentham Kindergarten have contributed to by placing two mosaic designs in the path. Heretaunga College’s Project K students are lacing up their walking shoes and grabbing their water bottles in support of the Foundation for Youth Development’s (FYD) annual fundraiser - The Big Walk! Motorcycle Training - April 2012
| Want to become a better rider? Upper Hutt motorcyclists are being
encouraged to sign up to an advanced skills safety workshop being held
in Lower Hutt on Saturday 14 April and 22 April. The courses run from 9am until 4.30pm and cost $20 per person. A Learners and Restricted course is being held on 18 March. Places are still available. Orongomai Marae Open Day - Monday 6 February 2012
| Orongomai Marae invites the community to help them celebrate Waitangi Day on Monday 6th February, 9am - 2pm. The day boasts continual entertainment from traditional, contemporary and multi-cultural performers. A wide range of craft and food stalls adds to the many experiences on offer. They can be difficult to understand some times. This presentation summarises the incredible changes that occur in the brain during the adolescent years and aims to inform parents of youth and those working with youth more about it using science and research. meet their local emergency services and learn how they can come together

Hutt Valley Disability Advisory Group
| Interested in being part of the Hutt Valley Disability Advisory Group? We want to hear from you. The group provides advice from disability perspectives to the Hutt Valley District Health Board, Hutt City Council, and Community Services (Upper Hutt City Council). Advice is sought on projects as required by the three agencies and there are up to 6 meetings per year. If you have experience of living with a disability and advisory skills, we would love to hear from you!
