Upper Hutt cares
- an information expo for carers.
|
We are coordinating an information expo for carers to be held from 11am to
3pm on Tuesday 23rd August at Riverstone Recreation, 836 Fergusson
Drive, Upper Hutt.
The event is totally FREE and open to the public.

|
|
|
There will be:
|
|
|
- Free goody bags and giveaways
|
|
|
- 12pm Guest Speaker: Laurie Hilsgen, CEO Carers NZ and editor of Family Care Magazine
|
| This expo will put carers in touch with organizations that can support them in their caring role. |
Carers NZ supports the expo
The carers website
states that “420,000+ New Zealanders support ill, seriously injured,
disabled and frail aged friends and family members. Carers are New
Zealand’s biggest health workforce”. The annual economic value of their
unpaid work is at least $7 billion. |
