Road alert service (rural)

New road information alert service for rural residents

As part of an on-going process to improve the service it provides to Upper Hutt residents the Upper Hutt City Council is establishing a system to advise rural residents of changing road conditions.
 
The new system will text message alert and/or email message to subscribers when there has been an incident or emergency event significantly affecting travel on roads in their area.

The recent snow storms have highlighted how real time information can assist residents.
