Community signboards
There are five community signboards located within Upper Hutt for use by clubs and organisations as a cost-effective method of promoting community events.- Gibbons Street – by River Road entrance to Upper Hutt.
- Fergusson Drive – Silverstream.
- Fergusson Drive – opposite Exchange Street.
- Fergusson Drive – by Rimutaka Tavern.
- Akatarawa Road – outside Harcourt Park.
- Whakatiki Street – before entering River Road
- Riverstone Terraces roundabout – Kirton Drive
- Totara Park – Totara park side of the bridge
Terms and Conditions
Organisations must comply with the following terms and conditions:
1. Booking of the signboards is subject to availability. Upper Hutt City Council events have priority for use of the signboards.2. The signboards are to be used for community notices and events happening within Upper Hutt only and are not to be used for commercial advertising.
3. Upper Hutt City Council reserves the right to refuse any booking or remove any signage at any time and for any reason.
4. All signage must be clear and professionally written.
5. Each sign is to be 1.8m wide and 1.2m tall.
6. You may use the signboards for a maximum of 14 days or between the dates specified below.
7. The signs MUST be stapled onto the signboards. Any other structures must not be attached to the signboards.
8. The signs must be erected on the booked date and dismantled on the booked date and is the responsibility of the person making the booking.
9. If the organisation named below fails to comply with these terms and conditions then the said organisation indemnifies Upper Hutt City Council for any costs incurred as a result of their non-compliance.
